William Richard Dittman
NEW BERN - William Richard Dittman, 68, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all, died Dec. 30, 2009, at Pitt Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Dittman; brothers and sisters, Lawrence, Robert, Walter, David, Dorothy Belle and a baby sister. He was an active member of Faith United Methodist Church and was very much involved with the boy scouts at the church. Early in his life baseball was his passion.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at Faith United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Hardy Dittman; sons, William R. Dittman

of Virginia, Kenneth T. Dittman and wife, Aubrey, of Virginia, John N. Staten
