8 Gravestone transcriptions, West Liberty Cemetery, Brady Twp., Butler Co. PA. Transcribed 2007 by Elizabeth Wilson Williams with E. Brady Williams Jr. These two stones lie adjacent to each other, among the newer graves below the cemetery road.

11 Manuscript of John T. Wilson researched 1975-1985, including personal knowledge and interviews of McDeavitt cousins and of his aunts Stella Wimer (McNeese), Lizzy Wimer (McDeavitt), Meda Wimer (McDeavitt), and Mary Gahagan. He lists as a great-aunt, among the children of James Robison, Jr. and Eleanor Jane Hines, a daughter Ida Robison married to William McDeavitt. He has no dates for either, and no middle initials.
12 Personal correspondence from Ruth McNees Brown, daughter of Stella Wimer.

Source notes

  • Ida Robison's birthdate: The census of 28 June 1870 for the Isaac Robison family place the birth of daughter Ida after that census date. The census of 12 June 1880 lists her as ten years old. This suggests that she was close enough to being age 10 on 12 June 1880 that the family reported her as age 10. Thus we speculate that her birthdate was later that month or the next, June or July of 1870.

Conjecture

There appear to be possibly two couples in the area of Slippery Rock, named Ida and William McDeavitt. Gravestones, West Liberty Cemetery, Worth Twp., Butler Co. PA., transcribed June 2007 by Elizabeth Wilson Williams.
