NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR

Alvin Merle Wilson is not in my direct ancestor. He is 2 steps removed in the following ways:

Merle Wilson was born in 1910, the second child of Jim Wilson and Lorena Bernice Mayer. He married Elda Bickel. Merle and his sister Pearl both married Bickels and later lived on adjacent farms (just west of Rt. 8, on the south side of Rt.108 going toward Slippery Rock). This suggests they may have divided the old Bickel farm between them.

Source Notes

  • As Pearl Wilson & Clifford Bickel lived adjacent to Merle Wilson & Elda Bickel, (on farms just south of Rt. 108 (near Rt. 8 outside of Slippery Rock), it is possible that the old Bickel farm was divided between these two families.
