Conjecture
- The decision to list Johannes Klein who arrived on the ship "Phoenix" in 1744 as direct ancestor of our Lehigh County Kleins is based in part on the list of other Kleins who also arrived on the "Phoenix" (Thiebalt Klein, Philip Wendel Klein & John Adam Klein), and the evidence of their also settling in the immediate area. Philip Wendel Klein settled in Weisenberg Twp., Lehigh Co. His sons were John Adam , John Jacob, Lorentz and Peter.(For more information see Philip Wendel Klein).
Thiebalt Klein, and possibly Philip Wendel Klein's sons Peter and Joh. Jacob settled in neighboring Berks Co.:
