Susan Harvey
Susan Harvey married Barnard V. Stoughton. They had six children together. Susan Harvey(Stoughton) died in May of 1847. Four of their six children were under six years old when she died. The infant Susan was taken in to be raised by Mary Ann Harvey (Dustin/Durstin), Susan Harvey's sister, and lived with the Durstin family in Illinois for a time.

Susan Harvey (Stoughton), sister Maryann Harvey(Durstin), & brother Elliott Harvey were children of Joseph Harvey & Hannah Hendricks. Joseph Harvey had a sister, Eliza Harvey. Both Maryann and Susan Harvey named sons "John Elliott", after their brother Elliott.

* Susan Blanche Stoughton went to IL with Aunt Mrs. Dustin. Confirmed in the 1850 census, Susannah Stoughton age 3; and by the 1860 census Roundside IL, Susanna Straughton (sic) age 13 and her cousin, Christian W. Dustin age 12 , and living in the Beureville household. The Dustin/Durstine family reside in the same township.
* Catherine Stoughton apparently married William Whitman in PA, before they joined her father Barnard in migrating westward. Her son John S. Whitman is mentioned in the "Memories" book; the family in Lawrence MO & Newton Co. MO in census of 1870, 1900 & 1910. Census reveal his wife's first name was Mary.
