NOT A DIRECT ANCESTOR

Livinia S. Church is not in my direct ancestry. Her relationship to known members of my family is currently a matter of active research.

The assertion has been made that she is a sibling of Erastus Church and a daughter of Samuel Church, but that connection has not been firmly established yet. This page was made to help collect information about this person for use in the research.

1 1840 United States Federal Census, Milton Twp., Wayne Co., IN, pages 4-5.

Lavinia Church, aged between 20 and 30, lives alone. She is employed in the category of "commerce." The number 30 is written in the "total" category on page 4. Ancestry.com indicates that this is a number of pupils in her school, though it is not clear from the original images why this interpretation of the totals column would be valid.
