'''1: Source: United States Federal Census for 1840 and 1850:  In looking for evidence of George Plummer in 1840, I was able to find a Plummer family in Southern Davidson Co. with a male in the right age category (20's).  The family is Philemon Plummer: 2 males 20-30, 1 female 20-30.  Philemon also shows up in the 1850 census for Davidson Co., with wife and now children, but no other male in his 30's.  In 1850 Philemon is 38, indicating that he would be the older brother.  It is possible that George was living with his older brother in 1840, then got married and moved to Western Mecklenburg Co.
