[edit] Source notes

  • Baptism records for all children of Leonhardt Muller/Mueller, Lancaster Co. Pa. indicate two wives. Sophia/Maria Sophia is listed for two children, Catherine for two, and for the rest the mother is not named. However, if there are only these two, the birth order makes clear where the children of Catherine begin. That the baptisms occur in 4 different churches strengthens the possibility of more than one Leonard Mueller. Also, in the children assigned to Sophia above, there is a December birth and a January baptism, possibly twins but possibly different families.
