Chapter XIX.

An Act altering the name of Alexander Hogg, John Hogg, and Samuel Hogg.

Whereas Alexander Hogg, John Hogg, and Samuel Hogg, all of Orange, in the county of Orange, have petitioned the legislature to alter their names to Alexander Church, John Church, and Samuel Church, and that the surname of their children be likewise altered to that of Church:

Therefore,

it is hereby enacted by the general assembly of the state of Vermont, That the names of the said Alexander Hogg, John Hogg, and Samuel Hogg, and the surname of their children, be, and same are hereby altered from that of Hogg to that of Church,

and that they shall, hereafter, be called and known by the name of Church, instead of that of Hogg.
