ANYONE having information about this person please contact the website owners. 
Warren Baker has not yet been traced by us. He is named in an obituary of [[Samuel Beals]] as a step-son living in Bryant, Indiana. It is unclear how he could be the son by a first marriage of either wife of Samuel Beals. Catherine Marsh was living at home with her parents in 1850, prior to her marriage to Samuel in 1852. Lizzy Leavy was at home with her parents in 1880, prior to marriage in 1881. Warren does not appear in any census in the Samuel Beals household.

* It seems unlikely that Warren Baker was the son of either Catherine Marsh or Lizzy Leavy. Perhaps the statement that Samuel Beals had a step-son was in error. Or perhaps the Oil City Derrick Semi-Weekly, Knox edition, miss-printed the name of the step-son of Samuel Beals. In the latter case, the possibility of John Leavy suggests itself. He was an adopted child of Jacob Leavy, Lizzy's father, marked as "illegitimate" in the 1880 census. John Leavy was age 17 when Lizzy was 24. A second handwriting in the census, beside the name John Leavy notes "father Wm. Fec (or Fee)". However, it seems curious that a 17 year old young man would need to be adopted.
