Susan Harvey married [[Barnard V. Stoughton]]. They had six children together. Susan Harvey(Stoughton) died in May of 1847. Four of their six children were under six years old when she died. The infant Susan was taken in to be raised by Mary Ann Harvey (Dustin/Durstin), Susan Harvey's sister, and lived with the Durstin family in Illinois for a time.
