S. R. STOUGHTON, 90, EX-OWNER OF BEACH, DIES [[Solomon R. Stoughton]], 90, of 237 New Castle St., who owned and operated Stoughtons Beach near Slippery Rock (now Rock Falls Park) for many years, died a 2:30 p.m. today in the Butler Memorial Hospital. Mr. Stoughton had also been engaged in the lumber business in this vicinity. Born in Butler County, he was the son of the late John and Jane McCandless Stoughton. He was a member of the Butler Baptist Temple. His Wife, Mrs. Emma Stillwagon Stoughton, two sons and a daughter preceded him in death. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Nicholas (Gertrude) Fennell of Chambersburg, Mrs. Vernon (Blanche) Vaughn of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Ralph (Hazel) Eld of Hagerstown, Md.; a son, Clyde B. Stougthon of Grove City R. D. 1; nine grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
 STOUGTHON - Friends of Solomon R. Stoughon of 237 New Castle St., who died Monday, March 7, 1966, will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday from the funeral home, with Rev. R. L. Throne, pastor of the Butler Baptist Temple, officiating. Burial will be in Isle Cemetery. Arrangements by Thompson.
