A native of Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late John Irvin King and Deanie Diane Courtney King.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, J. I. King, Jr.; 2 sisters, Jeanette Foil and Gladys Stone; and son-in-law, Jerry Williams.
