 At present nothing definite is known of the parents of Hannah Kelly.  The Kelly name suggests Irish ancestry. The church records of the Cumberland Co. PA area now in Franklin & Perry counties have not been searched.  If her family co-migrated to Butler County with the Hockenberrys, some of the following Kelly sources may be relevant. Of particular interest are brothers Joseph & Jonathan Kelly "& their parents", who came to Butler Co. in 1796-98 from the Perry Co. Pa area, apparently by way of New Jersey, (as did Hannah's husband, [[John Hockenberry]].) Joseph Kelly's wife was from New Jersey.<br> Michael Kelly  arrived in 1798, relationship to the others unknown. Archibald Kelly arrived in 1798, from Ireland by way of Westmoreland Co., and therefore may not be related to the family of James & Jonathan.
