Ben Beals (see source notes), 92, of Knox died Friday, Garmong Convalescent Home, Oil City where he spent a number of years.. Born 1 Aug. 1887 in Richland Twp., Clarion Co. Pa, married Pearl Gill (d. 1934). Spent entire life in Knox vicinity; a retired driller. In early years attended the Lutheran Church near Knox. Surviving: son Harry O. Beals of Knox; 7 grandchildren; 2 gr-gr-grandchildren; several nieces. One daughter Elsie, & a son Thomas, preceded him in death. Service at Stuart Funeral Home, Rev. Milton Shaffer officiating. Interment Knox Union Cemetery.
