 * Sally Painter Prior places Daniel Beels' birth in Berks Co. PA.  However, we expect that this is due to confusing "Penn Valley" outside Philadelphia, with "Penn's Valley" which is in Center Co. PA.  Daniel's father entered the country through Baltimore, not Philadelphia, and is said to have then gone to Penn's Valley.
-* Identity of Davie Beals in the Oil City Derrick obit is not conclusive from the data, but the death year and calculated birth year match those on the David Beels gravestone. The Beels family resided near Nickleville and some are buried there.
+* David Beels married Margret Campbell (spelled Camfell in 1900 census).  In the 1860 census, Margret's widowed mother Sophia and her sister Ellen Campbell are living with David and Margret and sister Jane is living with the Beels family in the 1880 and 1900 census.  Ellen Campbell is noted in the 1908 obituary as Ellen Hanniwalt.
