 * I spoke with the Rochester, VT, clerk's office (Joanne McDonnell) and she indicated that they have no records at all for Erastus Church, Lucy Whitten, Caroline/Carolyn Church, or Erastus W. Church.   The only Church birth records they have are from the 1900s.  She suggested that I try neighboring towns such as Hancock and Ripton.
