Bertha Frederick was the first child of [[Emma B. Frederick]]. Her father may have been Emma's first husband, William Lintz, but Bertha went by the Frederick surname. Bertha married Roland M. Coates and had three children. Later she married J. Austin Sheffer, after her cousin Annie Kline Sheffer died, but that marriage was short-lived.
