Their daughter Anna Eliesabeth Schindewolf was born in 1773. Our Jacob Schindewolf, birthdate unknown, married Dorothea Rehbein who was born in 1769.  Jacob Schindewolf and Anna Eliesabeth Schindewolf appear to be the same generation, and to both have fathers named Claus Schindewolf. It is therefore possible that Anna Grebenstein is the mother of Jacob, son of Claus Schindewolf.<br> The mother of Jacob Schindewolf is not  known conclusively however.  Claus Schindewolf, husband of Anna Grebenstein, may have had more than one wife. Also, in a town where half the families were named Schindewolf, there may have been more than one Claus Schindewolf of the same generation. Claus the husband of Anna Grebenstein and Claus the father of Jacob Schindewolf may not be the same person.
