This photo appears to have been made about 1896-97.
Grace Thomas is standing in back row between her mother, Nancy Rebecca Ashley, and her sister Sallie (with braids). Grace was born in 1892 and appears to be about 4 or 5 years old here. Carlisle, son of Joseph L. Thomas, was born in 1896, and looks to be between 6 mos. and 1 yr. old here.
 
 Using the possible photo date of 1896, ages at time of photo are calculated below for persons whose birth year is known. Ages of infants estimated from photo as less than 1 year if in arms.
