Detailed highpointing statistics

NEW: Colorado 14er Completion Ticklist

I got interested in county highpointing during March of 2002. By that time I had inadvertently already been to three county highpoints (plus two partials).

My first highpoints were, in order:
  • Dakota Co., MN - 1982 (partial)
  • Hancock Co., ME - Summer 1985
  • Washington Co., VT - Fall 1987 (partial)
  • Bernalillo Co., NM - August, 2000
  • Santa Fe Co., NM - June 16, 2001

While on spring break in Los Alamos, NM, I took a long daytrip to the Oklahoma state highpoint. Upon my return to Boston in April of 2002, I immediately began planning a massive highpointing trip in southern New England for the Patriot's Day long weekend.

Over the extended holiday weekend, I hit all 8 counties in Connecticut, 5 in Massachusetts, and 1 in New York. This moved my main glob from New Mexico to New England.

In May of 2002, I drove across the country from Boston, MA, to Los Alamos, NM. Along the way (sort of) I stopped by 19 state highpoints plus one additional county highpoint.
